Your Auction Timeline

Well Ladies and Gentleman, tomorrow is the auction!

The Program of Events for the auction is this:

6pm Champagne Reception and Silent Auction

(appetizers, a signature cocktail bar, 2 full bars, free champagne!)

7:20pm Denim Close (including the Man Cave)

7:35pm Diamond Close (including the Ladies Club)

Things not to miss during the Silent Auction: Man Cave, Ladies Club, Photo Booth, Heads or Tails Game, Pick of the Live Raffle, Wine Toss, One Bid Board, Photo Wall, Class Projects

7:45pm Dinner and Live Auction

What are all of those “not to miss items”?

Photo Booth: take pictures with your friends and neighbors!
One Bid Board: located in the front foyer, Write your bid # on these items to win it right then!
Pick of the Live Raffle: Winner gets first choice of the Live Auction items. Blinky ring for purchasing raffle. $50/ticket
Heads or Tails Game: $25 to play and you receive a blue necklace. This game will be played during the Live Auction with the Auctioneer. Players pick heads or tails and the auctioneer flips a coin. Lots of fun! Prizes for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd place.
Man Cave: look for manly silent items here. There is a wine toss and putting green in here as well. Don’t forget your ticket for the raffle!
Ladies Club: look for ladies items here. Have fun playing the wine toss game. Don’t forget your raffle ticket!
Wine Toss: 3 tosses for $10, try your hand at ringing wine. Win your wine!
Class Projects and Dessert Dash: located in the Ballroom.
Photo Wall: Look for your child’s picture! Pictures can be purchased on a first come, first served basis. $10 each.

The end of the night:

Empty Your Pockets: Didn’t win your live or silent items? Take a donation ticket to make an additional donation at the end of the night.
Candy Buffet: At the end of the night guests may take treat bags home for their kids

Class projects at the auction

Did you know that this year the class projects are going to be located in the ballroom during the auction? The ballroom will be open during the silent auction so that you can check out the projects and the desserts in the dessert dash. Almost all of the class projects will be a part of the live auction (2 classes did individual student projects that were sold to parents first, the ones that have not sold will be for sale in the silent auction).

I’ve added another project to the class projects page–take a peek and see which projects would look great in your home!

Are you ready to knock out all of your shopping for the year? Then check out the Silent Auction items! There’s something for everyone.

There are two new pages on the website, Silent Auction Sneak Peak–Denim Closing and Silent Auction Sneak Peak–Diamond Closing. Nearly all of the silent items we have are now listed on the website. This year our two closings are Denim and Diamonds. The Denim Closing will be at 7:20pm and will also include the items in the Man Cave. The Diamond Closing will be at 7:35 and will include the items in the Ladies Club. Please remember that some things may need to be moved from one close to the other during set up, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for–check the other closing.

It’s Auction Week!

Friday is almost here, so we’ll be posting lots of Event info over the next few days!

The class projects are coming along and there are new projects up on the class projects page:

All of the live items are listed here so you can start to think about what you want to bid on! We’ll be posting silent items later today and more class projects as they come in.

We still need volunteers Event Day set up–if you would like to be a driver or help set up decorations, please sign up here: Sign up here! http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0548ADAD2BA31-abcauction.

In addition to event day, we are also looking for 2 additional volunteers for the Event. If you are not attending the auction, but would still like to attend, this is a great way to do it! Volunteer time is from 5pm-10pm.

Quick Reminder: the WINE DROP is tomorrow! Brooke, Kim, and Emmy will be down near the Safeway driveway accepting your donated wine and any other items you may have for the auction. 8:15-8:45am and 3-3:30pm.

Have you heard that the auction has added a new area to the Silent Auction this year–the Man Cave and Ladies Club? This fun new addition to the auction will feature ladies’ and gentlemen’s silent auction items up for bid. At registration, each guest will receive a ticket to be entered into a fabulous drawing for…

Ladies Club Grand Prize: One ticket to the 2013 Freaky Tiki Party hosted by the Auction Committee & The Overcashes (a $50 value)

Man Cave Grand Prize: One bottle of 100% Rye Whiskey, courtesy of Woodinville Whiskey Co.! (a $50 value)

Your Man Cave hosts for the evening are David Overcash and Rhys Jones. They’ll introduce you to all of the “manly” areas of the auction:

A Wine Toss Game for some competitive sport. For a small $$$ you will have 3 chances to ring the wine of your choice. Not a winner?–try again or accept your consolation prize in defeat.
A mini putting green–for that chance to get a little golf practice in, graciously provided by the LeDeskys. (Like it? You can bid on a Mini-Golf Party in the Man Cave)
Beer? We’ve got a basket for that.

If you’re looking to bid on sports items, spa items or…beer–this will be the place to do it! So don’t forget to stop by, bid, and enter your ticket in the drawing!

We have two more completed class projects up for display–one for the family that is heading into the great outdoors this summer and the other for the family that has their sites set on visits to SAM during their summer vacation.

It’s Event Day Volunteer Time!

Do you want a sneak peak of the Auction before the actual event? This is your chance–sign up for Event Day Volunteer! Just like last year, we need drivers and set up volunteers. Drivers will be responsible for picking up mostly baskets, but possibly a few other things, and drive it all down to the Marriott. Set-up volunteers will help prepare and decorate the Marriott. You are welcome to sign up for both slots (we encourage it:)

You don’t have to stay the whole time, we expect set up to go fairly quickly this year, and the more people we have the faster it will go! This is a fun and easy volunteer opportunity! There will also be food…

Wine Drop–Thursday, May 9th!

I know that we’ve been asking everyone for wine, and I know it’s a little harder for us to get this from you since wine can not be on school property. We’ve decided to make this a little easier for you by having a WINE DROP next Thursday, May 9th!

What’s a Wine Drop, you’re wondering? This is where the auction team can take that pesky wine/beer/any procurement items off your hands, after you have dropped you students off at school. Kim Hagstrom and Brooke Jones will set up a spot to drop off your procurement down by Safeway–you don’t even have to get out of your car–pull over to the side of the road, we’ll take your wine and give you a procurement form.

We will be down by Safeway before and after school: 8:15-8:45 and 2:45-3:25. You are welcome to drop off anything you have for the auction: wine, beer, any procurement items, gift cards, completed procurement forms.

Did you forget your wine? No problem, just run into Safeway and grab a bottle or two!

Please, pass this info a long! If you don’t drop off/pick up your students at school, please email Brooke Jones, brooke@rbjsolutions.com to arrange a pick up.

Wine tasting season is coming up, so this is the perfect opportunity to donate those old bottles of wine, make room for the new!
